About the institute:
Information and communication technology has become one of the most important features of the current era, especially with the phenomenon of globalization and the spread of the information network all over the world. The vision of our university stems from its belief in the importance of higher education, in order to prepare graduates who possess knowledge and knowledge and have the ability to apply in the various fields needed by our Arab society.
Given that we are in a country where chaos prevailed and the war is still ravaging its body, and that we seek to establish a free, dignified and high-tech state, especially in the field of communications, we have seen, after scrutiny, and studying the bitter reality in terms of the importance of technology, especially educational programs in the field of information and communication technology, the lack of availability This specialization is very important in many areas of life.
The University of Aleppo offers several specializations within the College of Informatics, including:
Software engineering, information systems, computer systems and networks, artificial intelligence and natural languages.
The Deanship of the College of Engineering will present a comprehensive study plan for the majors of Informatics Engineering, Information Systems and Artificial Intelligence, with the aim of obtaining a bachelor’s degree in previous majors.

أضحت تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات من أهم سمات العصر الحالي، خصوصا مع وجود ظاهرة العولمة وانتشار شبكة المعلومات في جميع أنحاء العالم. وتنبثق رؤية جامعتنا من إيمانها بأهمية التعليم العالي، وذلك بغية إعداد خريجين يتحلون بالعلم والمعرفة ويتمتعون بالقدرة التطبيقية في المجالات المتعددة التي يحتاجها مجتمعنا العربي.
ونظراً إلى أننا في بلد عمت فيه الفوضى ومازالت الحرب تنهش جسده وأننا نسعى لتأسيس دولة حرة كريمة تتمتع بتقنية عالية وخصوصا في مجال الاتصالات، رأينا وتبين لنا بعد التمحيص والتدقيق ودراسة الواقع المرير من حيث أهمية التقانة ولاسيما البرامج التعليمية في مجال تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات تبين عدم توفر هذا التخصص المهم جداً في العديد من مجالات الحياة.
وجامعة حلب تقدم عدة اختصاصات ضمن كلية المعلوماتية تشمل:
هندسة البرمجيات ونظم المعلومات النظم والشبكات الحاسوبية والذكاء الصنعي واللغات الطبيعية.
وستقدم عمادة كلية الهندسة خطة دراسية شاملة لتخصصات الهندسة المعلوماتية و نظم المعلومات والذكاء الصنعي بهدف الحصول على درجة البكالوريوس في التخصصات السابقة.

Specialization objectives and areas of work
The specialization aims to prepare highly qualified graduates in line with the accelerated requirements of the Syrian society in the field of information and communication technology, by providing them with theoretical and practical knowledge with the latest means. We also seek to provide students with the information and skills that enable them to work in one of the following areas:
1. Local and Widescreen Computer Networks.
2. Managing Internet and Intranet networks.
3. Information security and protection in the field of communication technology.
4. The field of telephony.
5. The field of wireless communication.
Means and tools:
Students will be provided with theoretical and practical knowledge through the following:
- 1- Modern curricula prepared in the natural (classic) teaching method.
- 2- Training in specialized laboratories equipped with various technological equipment at the university.
- 3- Cooperation and training in specialized institutions in the field of information and communication outside the university.
- 4- Holding specialized courses and workshops in the field of information technology and keeping abreast of developments in this field.
Institute aspirations:
- 1. Inviting all faculty members to establish a scientific journal related to informatics and communication technology.
- 2. Call for scientific seminars to discuss the latest developments in the field of technologies and information and communication technology.
- 3. Establishing workshops for the college’s students in all its specializations.
- 4. Continuous development of academic courses according to the need of the thirsty labor market in Syria and the Arab country.
- 5. Calling for the establishment of multidisciplinary, active groups working in the field of technology to cover the university’s need for software to help transform administrative work into automated work.
