Definition of the department:
The Directorate of Student Affairs and Central Examinations plays a central and effective role in the university through its work being linked to all faculties, institutes and directorates at the university by preparing and organizing everything related to students during their university life. Preferences, registration, responding to their inquiries, following up the procedures for their graduation and granting them university degrees … etc., and its mission in that is to reach better and faster procedures to help students in their educational attainment.
Department departments:
- 1- Central Student Affairs Department: It includes the University Life Division, the Fees and Registration Division, and the University Housing Division.
- 2- Central Examinations Department: Its mission is to supervise the university exams in faculties and institutes and to follow up the work of the examination division staff in university faculties and institutes.
- 3- Electronic Archiving and Automation Department: It includes the Archiving and Electronic Automation Division and the Data and Statistical Reports Division in the Directorate
- 4- Certificates and Documents Department: Its mission is to archive university certificates, design, plan and prepare certificates, and write down all graduation decisions at the university.
- 5- Graduate Studies Department: Its mission is to follow up and archive postgraduate students and data at the university
- 6- Directorate Diwan: It includes the Directorate's archive and the Directorate's office (internal).
Directorate tasks:
- 1- Checking the applications of students wishing to change their enrollment between colleges and institutes at the university or students who wish to transfer to Aleppo University in the liberated areas from other universities.
- 2- Checking and ratifying the transcripts for non-graduate students.
- 3- Checking graduation decisions issued by colleges and institutes before submitting them to the University Council to issue graduation decisions
- 4- Checking and ratifying the transcripts of the graduate students.
- 5- Checking the transcripts and identification papers for students who have dropped out of their universities and who wish to enroll in the university.
- 6- Checking secondary certificates for new students who register at the beginning of each academic year.
- 7- Archiving requests to stop registration (or cancel it) from students wishing to stop their registration during the academic year.
- 8- Processing and resolving university students’ requests that are submitted from university colleges and institutes to the presidency, and they include various problems
- 9- Archiving the university's exam books according to the exam sessions.
- 10- Electronically archiving university data related to student affairs and exams.
- 11- Preparing the minutes of the Disciplinary and Grievance Committee at the university.
- 12- Preparing the decision of the first students at the university in each academic year.
- 13- Preparing various statistics related to student affairs, examinations and graduate studies at the university.
- 14- Preparing a draft advertisement for university comparisons or direct registration (general - parallel - graduate studies comparisons)
- 15- Preparing draft circulars and decisions related to student affairs and exams at the university.
- 16 - Preparing and designing various forms and forms related to student affairs and examinations and distributing them to colleges and institutes.
- 17- Preparing general and comprehensive statistics about university students according to the data requested by the university presidency.
- 18- Follow up on the implementation of the contents of the university council’s decisions related to student affairs and examinations at the university.
- 19- Studying the various requests of students and giving suggestions about them in a way that suits the decisions related to those requests.
- 20 - Issuing graduation certificates for students graduating from the university.
- 21- Handing over cartoon certificates to university graduate students.
- 22 - Supervising and following up the affairs of university housing for university students.
